Samsung 5C or 5E: water is not leaving in time.

On many Samsung models, 5C/5E points to a drainage problem. The code describes what the washer sees, not the part that needs replacing.

Start with the visible drain hose

Check for a sharp bend, crushing behind the washer, or a hose pushed too far into the standpipe. If a nearby sink or tub also drains slowly, the household drain may be the issue.

Do one controlled drain attempt

Use drain or drain-and-spin once after the visual check. Note whether you hear the pump and whether water moves. Repeating cycles with a full drum adds strain but rarely clears a blockage.

Use the manual before cleaning a filter

Some models provide a user-accessible debris filter and some do not. Only follow the exact documented procedure; do not remove panels, poke into hoses, or run the washer with a damaged filter.
