Door and lid codes
The washer cannot confirm the door or lid is closed and locked. Never force or bypass the lock.
Drain codes
Water is not leaving the washer fast enough, or at all. Have towels ready before you touch a hose or filter.
Fill and water supply codes
Water is not entering the washer as expected. Start with the valves and hoses.
Unbalanced load codes
The load is lopsided and the washer will not finish the spin. Fix the load, then the leveling.
Motor, control and spin codes
The washer reports a motor or control problem. Owner steps are limited, so keep the evidence for service.

Write down three things first
- The exact characters on the display. Letters, numbers, spaces and dashes all count. Take a photo before you clear it.
- What the washer was doing. Whether the code appeared while filling, draining, spinning or locking the door helps you pick the right guide.
- The model number. Manufacturers say code meanings can vary by model. Where to find the model number, and how to read the age from the serial number.
