WHIRLPOOL · FILL CLUE

Whirlpool F8 E1: verify supply before blaming the washer.

F8 E1 is commonly a no-fill or slow-fill code on many Whirlpool models. It can be caused by the water supply, hose position, or a model-specific inlet condition.

Check both water valves and both hoses

Confirm the valves are fully open, the home has water, and the visible hoses are not sharply bent or trapped against the wall. Hot and cold supply may both be required for a cycle to start correctly.

Capture the timing

Does the code appear instantly, or after some water enters? Note the cycle and temperature. This gives a technician useful information if the visible path is clear.

Use your manual for screens and service

Only clean inlet screens if the manual lists the procedure for your exact model. Never pierce a screen or run the washer with it removed.
