LG · DRAIN CLUE

LG OE: find the slow drain without turning the laundry room into a flood.

OE commonly means a drain issue on many LG washers. Start with the hose and household drain, then use model-specific filter instructions only if they apply.

Trace the hose route

Inspect for tight bends, crushing, or a hose installed in a way that can restrict flow. If water backs up in another fixture, arrange plumbing help rather than replacing washer parts.

Listen once, then stop retrying

A drain attempt may reveal a pump hum with no water moving. Make a note of it; repeated attempts are not a fix and can overwork the pump.

Use the exact manual for the filter

Follow only the manufacturer procedure for your model, including how to contain water. A generic “clean the filter” video can be wrong for your washer.
