LG washer error codes: what each one means and what to check first.

Door unable to lock (dE), not closed properly (dE1), or closed but not locked (dE2).
First check: Check nothing is caught at the gasket, re-close the door, then reset: power off, hold START/PAUSE for 5 seconds, restore power.

First check: Check the drain hose for kinks, test the pump with a spin-only cycle, then clean the drain pump filter.

First check: Open both faucets fully, straighten the hoses, clean the inlet filters and check the drain hose position.
Open the IE / 1E guide →UNBALANCED LOADUEThe load is unbalanced: laundry has piled up on one side of the drum.
First check: Pause, spread the laundry evenly, fill the drum to about 2/3 at most, and check the washer is level.
Open the UE guide →MOTORLEThe tub fails to spin because the motor can’t operate properly: an overloaded washer or an object in the tub.
First check: Unplug for 5 minutes, lighten the load and check the tub for a coin or other object.

Reading the display
LG door codes come in three versions: dE, dE1 and dE2, and the guide explains each. Some people read IE as 1E; both are covered on the same page.
