On many Maytag models, F0 E7 can mean clothing was detected during the cleaning cycle. It is generally a reminder to clean the washer empty, not evidence that the machine is broken.

Empty the drum completely

Cancel through the controls, remove every item, and check the drum and dispenser for forgotten laundry. Then restart the cleaning routine exactly as the manual describes.

Do not treat maintenance like a wash cycle

A tub-clean cycle uses water movement and timing intended for the machine itself. Towels or clothes can prevent it from completing correctly.

If F0 E7 persists with an empty washer

Record the code and model number. Let service or manufacturer support confirm the next step rather than adding detergent or running repeated cleaning cycles.
